Designer Shelves Manufacturers

Straight, curved or flexible, cube, cylindrical or rectangular, long or short, light or solid, rigid or resistant, Italian shelves are perhaps the simplest but at the same time the most versatile furniture element in the catalogs of every major Italian brand. The study of shapes, as well as support systems and sturdiness are all characteristics that the various Italian companies such as Cassina, Molteni&C, Porro and many others are committed to research in order to constantly propose innovative and high performance designer shelves.

Over the years, designers, in collaboration with Italian brands, have been experimenting with the properties of materials and exploiting industrial technologies to create modular systems that are highly flexible and adaptable to any type of environment. Perhaps the most iconic example is Kartell’s Bookworm, designed by Ron Arad. Symbol of contemporary design, this product is the concrete manifestation of how creativity, combined with an advanced technological study, has been able to give life to a revolutionary shelf project that can be configured in different ways according to everyone’s needs and available space.
